Forensische Relevanz
App-Einstellungen, Caches, Konfiguration sowie iOS/macOS-Backup-Strukturen wie Manifest.plist und Info.plist. Viele bplist-Dateien sind NSKeyedArchiver-Objektgraphen — erkennbar am Schlüssel '$archiver' — und können Nachrichten, Kontakte, Gesundheitsdaten und andere komplexe App-Daten enthalten. Zeitstempel verwenden Mac Absolute Time (Sekunden seit 2001-01-01 UTC). Häufig eingebettet statt als eigene Datei gespeichert: als BLOBs in SQLite-Datenbanken und in erweiterten Attributen. Auf allen Apple-Plattformen und in den meisten iOS/macOS-Apps von Drittanbietern weit verbreitet.
